Jazz at Dusk – Students from area high schools have formed a special group for jazz performance. A small combo from this group will be presenting the program today. Among their adult leaders is Sue Brown and these students have received special recognition for their musical abilities.
February 14, 2019 – Regular Program, with performing artists, followed by lunch
Miriam K. Smith – The February program will feature child prodigy Miriam K. Smith on the cello, accompanied by Jacob Miller on piano. Miriam has received national acclaim and, at the age of 12, is playing music from the grand cello literature. Members who attended the Scholarship dinner in September were privileged to hear her, and now all members of Symphony Club who attend will be able to enjoy her music. She is graciously replacing the original musical feature for February because the couple who were to perform have moved to San Francisco.
March 14, 2019 – Regular Program, with performing artists, followed by lunch
Presenting Award Winners – Three Arts Scholarship presents generous scholarships to accomplished artists and musicians each year. Master student in piano at Wright State University Jocelyn Hui and Junior voice student at CCM Elena Villalon will be sharing this program.
April 9, 2019 – Swing Into Spring – Annual fundraiser at Kenwood Country Club. All proceeds go to benefit the CSO. Event includes: fashion show by Dillard’s, basket raffle, boutique vendors, grand raffle, barrow of spirits, and luncheon.
May 9, 2019 – Regular Program, with performing artists, followed by lunch
Joan Cavally Flute Choir – Although Joan Cavally no longer plays in the choir, she is responsible for bringing these talented flutists together. Many of them are former students of Joan’s husband, Robert Cavally. Various flutes will be used in this performance and all of the performers are talented player.

Rachel Lee – Violinist Rachel Lee is working on her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Before entering CCM she was a student of Stacey Wooley and has become a virtuoso performer.
December 11, 2018 – Holiday Luncheon, with special guest performing artist
Michael Chertock – Cincinnati Symphony Club is blessed once again to hear the special talents of Michael Chertock at the piano in the beautiful setting of Kenwood Country Club. Michael is nationally and internationally known through his guest appearances and is also principal keyboardist with the CSO and the Chairman of Piano Studies at CCM.
