Emmy Award-winning vocalist Nancy James is a familiar name, familiar face and a familiar voice as she has been performing in the Tri-State for over four decades. She performs with a number of orchestras, various big bands and many trios in the area. She will be accompanied by Dr. Brian Cashwell.
February 13, 2020 – Regular Program, Daniel Culnan and Rebecca Culnan, followed by lunch
Daniel Culnan, longtime Associate Principal Cellist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, served on the accompanying staff at Julliard and performs in chamber music concerts as both a cellist and pianist. Rebecca Culnan, former Associate Concertmaster at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, continues to touch hearts with her chamber music, recitals and concerto performances.
March 12, 2020 – Regular Program, Polina Bespalko, followed by lunch
Polina Bespalko is the Coordinator of the Piano Department at Xavier University. She is an acclaimed musician who received her Doctorate of Musical Arts at CCM. She has won the CCM Concerto Competition and medals in the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati.
April 7, 2020 – April Affair
Annual fundraiser at Kenwood Country Club. All proceeds go to benefit the CSO. Event includes: fashion show by Dillard’s, basket raffle, boutique vendors, grand raffle, barrow of spirits, and luncheon.
May 9, 2020 – Regular Program, Louis Langree, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Music Director, Louise Dieterle Nippert & Louis Nippert Chair, followed by lunch
The French conductor Louis Langree has been Music Director of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra since 2013. He has been the Music Director of the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center in New York since 2002. He has conducted the Berliner Philharmoniker, Wiener Philharmoniker, London Philharmonic Orchestra and has worked with many orchestras around the world. In 2006, he was made a Chevalier des Arts et des Lattres.
September 24, 2019 – Scholarship Fund Dinner Concert
Second annual scholarship dinner, benefiting the Audrey Dick Scholarship Fund. Musical program by 16-year-old pianist, Kasey Shao.
October 10, 2019 – Regular Program, with performances by Scholarship recipients, followed by lunch.
This program is presented by students from the CCM Preparatory Department who have been awarded scholarships from Cincinnati Symphony Club during the past year.
November 14, 2019 – Regular Program, Issac Selya, Founder and Artistic Director of Queen City Opera, followed by lunch.
Queen City Opera was founded in 2012 to advance the careers of emerging singers, instrumentalists, designers and conductors by giving them valuable professional engagement and high-quality production. This program will feature several performers from the company.
December 10, 2019 – Holiday Luncheon, with special guest performing artist, Michael Chertock.
Michael Chertock, principal keyboardist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Chairman of Piano Studies at CCM, will present his always anticipated December performance.
